Welcome to our new CEO!

By Nicholas Carlisle

This week is Global Goals Week, and I am proud to announce after fifteen years of running No Bully that I am stepping into the role of President, Founder and global ambassador for No Bully and for the cause of eliminating bullying and cyberbullying worldwide.

In our search for a CEO to whom I could handover the management of operations and scaling our impact on bullying it rapidly became clear that we had an outstanding internal candidate. That candidate is our VP of Education, Will McCoy.

Effective October 1, Will McCoy takes over from me as CEO, overseeing all operations at No Bully while continuing to serve as lead for our Education Programs Team.  Will is a career educator and education technology entrepreneur.  He has served schools and districts at all levels for more than 20 years, starting as a teacher in grades Pre-K through High School and moving to school administration, spending the last ten years as a School District Superintendent.  We are all very happy that Will has agreed to accept this senior leadership position.
The urgency of protecting children from bullying has never been greater.  Two reports out this month indicate that this type of violence is on the rise.  Last year in the US one-third of students reported that they experienced bullying during the 2017-18 school year, up from one-quarter in previous school years (Youth Truth).  Half of students aged 13 to 15 worldwide – around 150 million – now report that they experience peer-to-peer violence in and around school (UNICEF).
