No Bully is launching a broadly based campaign to combat bullying worldwide, with a particular focus on online bullying.
Bullying and cyberbullying have become a global health priority, impacting one-third of adolescents worldwide. The problems that they present are so big and so tangled in systemic complexities that they cannot be solved by any single organization.
In March 2017 No Bully hosted a two-day strategy-hack session at St Paul’s School in London that brought together thought leaders and influencers from around the world. Participants included representatives from UNESCO, Microsoft, Hasbro, AT&T, the Anti-Defamation League, Plan International, the Diana Award, SaferNet Brazil, Chicos.net, Crecer en Red, St Paul’s School, the Seychelles Department of Education, TOUCH Youth Singapore and Janice Richardson (international advisor for literary rights and democracy).
The campaign is committed to achieving collaborative impact and will build momentum over the next six months, driven by youth ambassadors across the world, to help steer and direct the messages for successful implementation. We are already deep into the strategic planning phase as we prepare to launch the campaign. Initial members of the Steering Committee include representatives from the UN, UNESCO, Microsoft, Facebook, Hasbro, AT&T, the Diana Award (UK) and the founder of Safer Internet Day. Our Global Impact Advisory team is growing and expanding, as we look to deepen insights and establish national hubs across the world.
Tamsin Smith is Campaign Director. Tamsin is known for pioneering creative collaborations that inspire broad social action, having served as founding president of (RED) and strategist on public-facing campaigns for the UN Foundation, Futures Without Violence, Larry King, and others.
The campaign will launch later in 2017.
